Web Design

High Five Media

In the 2+ years I've worked for High Five Media, I've built a little over 55 websites (and counting). The standard website at H5 is usually made on Squarespace, Wordpress, or Shopify. With the majority being on Squarespace and Wordpress. My workflow generally requires a short briefing process, acquiring a sitemap and the copy from the content team, and then proceeding to build out the site.

Sometimes the solutions for custom projects go outside the standard scope of work offered by High Five. In the last year, I've been working closely with production managers and sales executives to help expand their offerings for web design packages by testing and providing them more resources to help them meet their clients needs.

Note: Want to see one of these sites? There's a chance that it's changed a little bit since I built it. There's a saying at High Five Media: "Websites are really never complete" because they offer unlimited updates, year-around. Normally, one person will build out the entire site — and once it's launched, usually the designer who built the site will edit it as change requests come in, but in reality, any team member on the web team can edit a completed site and it just depends who has the most availability. If you'd like to visit one of the sites, the URL's can be seen at the top of the photo. If something seems stylistically off from the photo I've presented here, it's likely that the client or another High Five Media team member has updated the site since I've posted it here. The gallery below is meant to be a gallery that encompasses the large scope of work I've completed, and not so much intended to be a tour guide of every site I've made at High Five Media.

Respond Flow

In the last year, Respond Flow changed website platforms. However, a video demo of the original website (taken from Wayback Machine) is available.

Respond Flow was a boot-strapped startup founded by Martin Lien, and jump-started by a group of 5 guys who were passionate about seeing the project come alive. The startup found success after about a year of hard work and is currently serving customers around the US from their home-base in Tulsa. My role was similar to that of Paul Mitchell the School: Media Manager. After providing the initial branding materials, such as design/UI mockups for the app (made in Adobe XD) and logo and brand guidelines, my role shifted to more of a creative/producer spot that was focused on making promotional material for the upcoming SaaS.

Anime Forefront

Anime Forefront is a passion project for my friend Logan! He has a drive for making video essays and reviewing his favorite cinema. When he started making content for Youtube consistently, he saw the work I was doing under a project called 'Subculty' and asked me to design the initial branding materials and merchandise for his store. This eventually lead to the launch of his eCommerce site, animeforefront.com, in late 2018. Since the launch, Logan has grown his YouTube and TikTok channels significantly - and we like to believe the eCommerce site was a smart addition in regard to improving his brand's presence and authenticity.

Paul Mitchell the School (Norman)

In 2019, 'imagine' Paul Mitchell Partner School officially became 'Paul Mitchell the School of Norman' and discontinued their mini-site along with a few other grassroots marketing systems I had introduced.

I worked for Paul Mitchell the School as a media manager for a brief time during my senior year of college and over a year and a half that followed. The job mostly required that I provide a schedule of media posts for social media, but my goals shifted in my last year to be more admissions-oriented. I built Paul Mitchell the School's ("Imagine" Norman) first standalone website, built entirely for brand awareness and to increase admissions. In my last year at Paul Mitchell, the standalone website I built outperformed the corporate website by almost 2:1 for leads.
